Paintscrapers is an informal laid-back VW club based in Bexleyheath, Kent, England. We meet every month at The Stables Public House, Danson Park, Bexleyheath, Kent on the 4th Wednesday of every month. The pub has quite a large, lit, car park with tables outside for those long summer nights. Kids and dogs are welcome too, plus food is available for the whole family. If you drive a lowered vehicle, then beware the speed bumps after you enter Danson park. They’re annoying and the last couple sit at a funny angle across the road, just before the pub car park, but so far none of our members have suffered more then a few scrapes.

We usually get a really good turn out of people and vehicles each month and over the years our little club has evolved into more of a family, a very large family, but we’re always ready to welcome new faces. Between us we have a varied assortment of air-cooled VWs from stock to full out drag racers, from very early models right the way up to the modern water-cooled rides of today. We’re also pleased to include some great early Porsche’s amongst our members too.

With a wealth of VW knowledge between us, anyone seeking advice about anything to do with air-cooled VW’s could do a lot worse then to join us for a drink and a chat. To find out more about our club, our members and their vehicles, just take a look around our site, or catch us at one of the many VW events both in the UK and abroad. Look out for our members sporting either their dark blue hoodies or light blue t-shirts – they’re all friendly and quite helpful too.
